Naval Weapons Station Earle is located in Sandy Hook, New Jersey. It was severely damaged in Hurricane Sandy. Our scope on this project required bridge repair, building restoration, replacement of a major facility building and a large electrical substation replacement on an active military base. It was a complete demo and replacement of three miles of utility lines including water, sewer and electrical service. It also included the demolition and replacement of three miles of concrete pier planks including structural analysis for wave forces. Two of the administrative buildings required interior and exterior remodel due to the damage. This work included roof design, all door/hardware replacement and complete replacement of both the shore side and land side substations.
