San Tan Regional Court Center was a 45,000 square foot building for the Maricopa County Justice Courts situated on a 5 acre site in downtown Chandler, Arizona. Arrington Watkins was initially hired by the County to design a two-court facility with limited support services. However, during the CD phase the Owners decided to expand the scope of work to a full 4-court center with additional support services and program. The complexity of the project involved coordinating multiple stakeholders, with various functions and different levels of security into a single facility. Our collaborative effort with the judicial user groups was very successful and many of our space designs became new County prototypes.
