Arizona Public Service’s Palo Verde Energy Education Center serves as a base for emergency operations in the event of a crisis at the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station, located only 22 miles away. During non-emergency times, the building serves as a technical training and education facility. It includes an emergency operations room, which contains its most critical communication technologies: a 222-seat auditorium, which can be used for public briefings or training purposes; four additional training spaces; a food preparation and serving area, and offices. Building achieved LEED Gold Certification.
