This project included extensive consideration to understand Tempe’s evidence’s chain of custody procedures. There is a secure room for officer evidence processing and turnover which includes report writing stations and pass through lockers. Non-biological and non-environmentally sensitive evidence is stored in the extensive racking system area. Two walk-in freezers and a walk-in cooler house all biological and environmentally sensitive evidence. Additional spaces include bulk warehouse storage, exterior vehicles storage, enclosed forensic investigation vehicle bay, destruction area and bicycle storage, as well as all staff amenities and offices.
